Costa Rica’s President Chavez Strongly Denounces Civilian attacks

“San José, October 7, 2023.

Costa Rica strongly condemns the atrocious and deplorable terrorist attacks by Hamas on Israel. We particularly denounce attacks against civilians, which violate International Law and essential principles of International Humanitarian Law. We also demand the immediate release of hostages. We extend our solidarity to the government and people of Israel, particularly to the victims and their families, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured. Costa Rica reiterates its absolute rejection of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, reaffirming its will to continue fighting against it within the framework of international law.
